The very early reservoir with both outlets in the bottom was originally supplied with the pipe to the brake master cylinder as a sub-assembly. To simplify manufacture and stock holding, we now supply as seperate items.
There are 5 versions of the pipe that connects the fluid reservoir to the Brake Master Cylinder. Rover in their wisdom only used one part number, 504106, although it is self-evident RHD and LHD versions of the pipe must differ.
Variations are due to:
- Early reservoir with both outlets in the base.
- Later, more common reservoir with side outlet to brake master cylinder.
- CB and CV type master cylinders which have inlet ports swopped.
- RHD and LHD models have different positioning of the reservoir which changes the routing and length of the pipe.
