Door Pillar Sub-Assembly, LH, Type 8
Third type Left Hand Side Door Pillar Sub-Assembly used on late Series 2a models where wings (fenders) are attached using Spire nuts.
Door hinges are attached using square nuts held in detachable clips.
This is the complete Door Pillar Sub-Assembly, comprising:
- Door Pillar
- Lower Stiffener
- Lower Foot
- Tube for Dash to Chassis Tie Bolt
- Captive Nuts for Door Hinges x 2
Dash to chassis foot is now supplied separately from the lower stiffener to allow 100% accurate fitment. Foot is fillet welded to stiffener once jigged in position.
Could be used on Series 3 models, but hole pitch for the door seal is incorrect.
