• 1967 - Rover becomes part of Leyland Motor Corporation (LMC).
• 1968 - Leyland Motor Corporation merge with British Motor Holdings (BMH) to form British Leyland Motor Corporation (BLMC).
• 1975 - BLMC is partially nationalised to form British Leyland.
• 1978 - BLMC renamed as BL. Land-Rover Ltd established as a seperate company.
  
• 1986 - BL is renamed as Rover Group.
• 1988 - Rover Group sold to British Aerospace.
• 1994 - Rover Group sold to BMW.
• 2000 - Land-Rover sold to Ford.
• 2008 - Land-Rover sold to Tata Motors.
