First type of Front Stub Axle with removable collar for hub oil seal.

Suitable for:

• Series 1, all models.
• Series 2/2a, all models.
• Series 3, 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder models up to September 1980.

Not suitable for Series 3 109 V8 models.

For later Series 3 models, part changed to FRC 3925, which is essentially the same as 599827, but with the hub oil seal collar formed as part of the stub axle for improved strength.

For replaceable collar for hub oil seal, use 599698.

Part number supercedes 217422 and 599826.
