Can be used in lieu of the bellows type on 1600cc and 2 Litre, Petrol and Diesel engines. 74°C = 165°F Wax type thermostats are a superior design to the bellows type as they are unaffected by high pressure within the cooling system that can lead to the bellows type partially closing and leading to engine over-heating.
